1440 Multiversity, Scotts Valley
There are 1440 minutes in a day and living these minutes fully is a daily practice that can be buried under to-do lists and everyday distractions. The programmatic offerings—and even the campus itself—at the new learning-meets-vacation destination 1440 Multiversity are centered on how we can live those 1440 minutes with maximum awareness and presence.
The team at 1440 has been working behind the scenes for more than four years to build the learning and wellness center from the ground up, with a gorgeous dining area serving farm-to-table food, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and an expansive healing arts center. Everything is tucked within 75 acres of redwood forest complete with hiking trails in Scotts Valley, located between Silicon Valley and Santa Cruz. Co-founder Scott Kriens says, “We built 1440 as a place for people to relax, reflect and spend time with incredible teachers in a beautiful setting. We hope the result is the best kind of vacation, that sends you home not only recharged, but also with clear insights to help you live your everyday life a little better.”
1440 Multiversity opens in May with a wide array of programming including immersive classes focused on contemplative practices, authentic leadership, creativity and relationships, and yoga. Upcoming yoga-focused programs include: The Yoga of Awakening with Seane Corn, Yoga for Scoliosis with Elise Browning Miller, Meditation with Lorin Roche and Camille Maurine, Cultivating Happiness with Ira Israel, Yoga for Athletes with Sage Roundtree, Yoga for Healthy Aging with Baxter Bell and Melina Meza, and more.
